| Joe
and Karen Leier, who have been in Guatemala since 2002,
have launched a brand new mission by the name of Freelance
Missions. After repeatedly seeing the need for technical expertise and
hands on help, of the missionaries here in Guatemala and of the
Guatemalans themselves, they have formed a mission to help in the
"rubber meets the road" needs of electrical, computer support,
satellite installation, construction, generator (power plant) repair
and numerous other areas that seem to be apparent in a country where
they are striving to catch up with other industrialized countries. So
many missionaries are dependent on the internet for informing their
supporters or keeping in contact with other people in their mission who
are in remote areas of the country. This "enabling missionaries to
fulfill the great commission" is a fairly uncommon ministry but Joe and
Karen have found it is a much needed one. Many of the missionaries have
expressed their thanks for this practical form of ministry to the Body
of Christ here. If you would like to support Joe and Karen or receive
their newsletter please drop a line to leier.joekaren@gmail.com. Donors in the USA can give a tax-deductible donation through Hands of Hope. In order for us to receive the donation, you need to put "Freelance Missions" under "Designate my donation".
